Big Red Kitchen is a multi-award winning cottage industry business, producing a wide range of handmade jams, chutneys, sauces and preserves. All of their products are made in small batches, using local produce, wherever possible.

In fact, lots of their produce is grown on the neighbouring fruit farm. Their entire range is free of artificial additives and preservatives.

Nicola started Big Red Kitchen as a hobby in 2010, after attending a local craft fair and seeing some homemade jams for sale. This experience reminded her of her childhood visiting cousins in Navan, collecting blackberries and helping her aunt to make jam.

She then began by attending a few local craft fairs and stocking her local café (Seamus Ennis Cultural Centre, Naul). Nicola's ethos was simple – to make really tasty preserves the old-fashioned way, using high quality ingredients.
