Sheridan’s Cheesemongers Meath Shop just outside Kells is the perfect place to pick up some truly decadent picnic supplies. Of course, you will find lots of delicious cheese, but also charcuterie, wine & lots of artisan treats. All of which can also be ordered online if you cannot make it to the shop.

If you are headed for a picnic by the sea, then MacNamee’s Tea Rooms in Dunleer County Louth is a great place to stock up on lots of yummy picnic foods. This summer it is all happening at Slane Castle with an Airstream food truck on site which will provide a quick takeaway service of specialty coffee and home baked goods along with a picnic basket option.
Each Friday and Saturday the talented team at Merci Beaucoup Cakes Creations open their pop-up shop, which is full of freshly baked breads, pastries and beautiful French patisserie which would all make for a very luxurious picnic.
Rock Farm Weekly Market
Stop by the Farmer’s Market that is on each Thursday at Rock Farm just outside Slane in County Meath and pick up lots of local food & drink from the producers themselves to enjoy on your picnic. From freshly baked sourdough to locally made cheese and cider you will find all you need here for a proper Boyne Valley picnic!
