Merci Beaucoup Cakes Bakery & Coffee Shop

Merci Beaucoup Cakes Shop owners Jérémy and Alona, husband & wife, married in life and married to their passion, founded Merci Beaucoup Cakes in 2013, creating birthday cakes, novelty cakes and occasional cakes, to sell locally in Navan, Co. Meath.

In 2015, they started to trade at the local farmer markets and developed an amazingly loyal customer base as they introduced a full range of authentic french patisseries. Home bakers from the very beginning, Jérémy trained for 5 years in France in a Patisserie and Culinary School, Alona, has 10 years of expertise in the bakery industry. In 2019, they moved into a new commercial premises in Ardee, Co. Louth. Their aim was to develop their business and hopefully, in the near future, open our very own bakery shop. They finally got to achieve that goal in 2023, with the opening of their shop & café on Castle St. in Ardee, Co. Louth. You can choose from fresh patisseries, desserts, croissants, breads, sandwiches & tea/coffee every day!

  They have been honoured to represent Merci Beaucoup at the National Ploughing Championships, Bloom, Gifted at the RDS and all the most prestigious food festival all around Ireland. They have also been fortunate to have received numerous Blas Na hEireann Awards for their produce over the last number of years.

Opening hours are Tues. to Sat. 8.30am to 5pm. Sundays from 9am - 1pm
