 The history of Killeen Castle dates back over eight hundred years to 1181, when it was built by Hugh de Lacy as part of the strategic castle defence system for north Leinster.

 Sunday Lunch in Sixteen Restaurant

The Sixteen restaurant offers a serene atmosphere and picturesque views of the estate, where you can savour the best ingredients sourced from the Boyne Valley. Serving every Sunday from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm, you can indulge in a 3-course Sunday lunch for €40 or a 2-course Sunday lunch for €35. Come and enjoy a delightful meal with them.

The Kiln

The Kiln is open seven days a week and is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy an all-day dining experience. Their Executive Head Chef, Declan Cronin, and his team use only the best local ingredients from their trusted suppliers to prepare their seasonal menu, catering to all dietary requirements.

The Kiln is known for its morning coffee and fresh homemade scones, a favourite among locals strolling the estate grounds. Whether enjoying a latte, lunching with friends, or simply observing the world go by, The Kiln provides a warm and incredibly comfortable space, where visitors can enjoy some excellent Irish hospitality.
