Brogans Butchers is a family owned butcher shop, in the heart of Athboy, Co. Meath, and are current Irish Small Butcher Shop of the Year, awarded in Butchery Excellence end of year awards in November 2018. Established in 1908 by Michael Brogan, originally from Trim, it's now in its fourth generation, owned and run by great grandson Michael Brogan.
Brogans Butchers are one of the few truly Farm to Fork Butchers remaining in the country, with their own Family Farm in Athboy and E.U Licensed Abattoir. In 2017, the shop was completely refurbished. In addition to the high quality Dry-Aged Beef, Lamb, Pork & Chicken, which was already being produced and sold in the shop, the product range was extended to include a vast range of ready to cook products, all produced in-house by their team and the best selection of local and national artisan products.
Along with recent successes in The Butchery Excellence All Ireland Specialty Food, and Sausage and Burger Awards, and listing in the renowned McKenna Guides Best in Ireland, Brogans Butchers strive to give their customers the best butcher shopping experience.
