Bee-Wise Nature Trail

Bee Wise Garden Walk is a family owned 5 acre educational nature walk, with particular emphasis on the honey bee. It is located just outside the village of Kilmessan, approximately half way between the Seat of the High Kings at the Hill of Tara and Trim Castle.
On Sundays, from May - September, they host general opening days, where the public can visit to meet the Bee Keeper, learn all about the flowers, shrubs and trees which the honey bee works to collect the nectar for the different flavoured honey. There are information points and a children’s activity trail to educate you throughout the walk. There is an observation hive onsite to show the bees at work in the hive.
Their produce is hand crafted in small batches and is traceable from their own honey bees to the honey pot, 100% natural. They offer a range of spring, summer, Ivy, cut comb, soft set and section honey. All have distinct flavours depending on the flowers the bees have worked.
Cost: From €8.00 pp (under 3 free) / €30.00 family
