About the Boyne Valley Bites Local Dining Initiative

Boyne Valley Flavours are delighted to run the Boyne Valley Bites campaign again this Autumn. Our aim is to encourage more Boyne Valley ingredients on restaurant menus during the Autumn festival season. We invite YOU to participate in this campaign, at no cost to your business. Take advantage of this opportunity to showcase a Boyne Valley dish on your menu and benefit from extensive marketing and promotion which will drive more footfall to your venue. Any Meath or Louth foodservice business is welcome to participate.

What would we like you to do?

We invite you to list a “Boyne Valley Bite” on your menu this Autumn, possibly to coincide with a local festival taking place in your area (for example Lú Festival of Light, Púca, or Samhain Festival of Food & Culture).

Join us this September for a FREE workshop where Conor Halpenny, from the award-winning The Square restaurant, and Tara Walker, long-time cookery instructor, will demonstrate 6 seasonal dishes made with local ingredients. You can either chose one of these Boyne Valley Bites for your menu or use as inspiration to develop your own.

    Participating eateries will receive:

    •             6 fully costed seasonal recipes containing Boyne Valley ingredients with optional local drinks pairings

    •             Producer directory with ordering details

    •             Images and captions for you to promote the campaign on your website and social media

    •             Boyne Valley Bites poster & menu template

    •             Promotion of your venue on social media by Boyne Valley Flavours.

Participating eateries must submit their chosen Boyne Valley Bite to Boyne Valley Flavours after the workshop. Bites will be cross checked with the producers from the directory before approval. Please note participating venues may be mystery dined. Thanks to Meath County Council and Louth County Council for their ongoing support.
