Silly Sid's Café
Silly Sid’s Café and Food Truck is based in Slane, Co. Meath. They set up 6 years ago making ice cream on their farm and selling ice cream, raw milk and speciality coffee at markets. From there, they got their first food truck, where they specialise in rolled ice cream and ice cream scoops.
They also use local food, such as sourdough toasties, using Baska Bakery bread. Their food truck attends all the biggest festivals in Ireland, including Electric Picnic.
In the last two years they have been running the Village Inn, Slane, as a café, from 9-4 daily. Their main ethos is to use as much local suppliers on their menu and some of their current suppliers are Boyne Valley Cheese, Deer Park and Muttonhead Butchers Slane, Baska Bakery etc.
They specialise in breakfast, brunch and lunch, where their menu is based on their travels around the world, with a local twist.
