McGrane's Milk Barn

McGrane's Milk Barn are a family run, single source dairy farm, nestled in the Boyne Valley countryside of Walterstown in Co. Meath, with an enthusiasm for sustainability and a reduction of plastic. Their product travels less than 50m from start to finish, allowing for the food miles to be low and their product to be as fresh and local as possible.

 They pasteurise their whole milk on site and have a self-service milk barn, where you can purchase this milk in 1 litre and 500ml quantities in reusable glass bottles, using their vending machines. They also offer a variety of eight flavours to add to their milk, if flavoured milk is the requirement too.

They do not homogenise this milk, allowing for the milk to retain a very creamy texture. The cream can be noted as rising to the top of their glass bottle. This fact has evoked much nostalgia for many of their customers!

They promote businesses within the Boyne Valley and supply local cafes. They also supply football and hurling teams with fresh milk and flavoured milk! They have a large footfall of customers.
