Fairy Trees was established in 2021. The winery is a family owned and ran business with Bertrand, his wife Jennifer and their two sons, Thomas & Louis, very much on the forefront of running the day to day activities of the business. Fairy Trees Winery are proud to be Ireland’s first commercial winery.

The vineyard is located outside Dunleer - on the east coast in Co. Louth. They currently boast 20 acres of land and are constantly growing and evolving. The east coast of Ireland has an oceanic temperate climate – boasting calm weather, plenty of rain and sufficient, but not excessive, sunshine.

Their Master Winemaker, also known as ‘Vigneron’ is Bertrand Laclie. Bertrand hails from a family of many generations of distillers, brewers and wine makers, hailing from the Cognac region of France. Bertrand has a wealth of knowledge, which includes winemaking, growing, producing and indeed cultivating great vines to ultimately make great wine.

Their guided tours offer visitors an insider’s look into their vineyards and winemaking process, followed by a relaxing tutored tasting of their three signature wines.
