Pick Your Own Daffodils at Elmgrove Flower Farm
Celebrate St Brigid’s Day immersed in the first signs of spring! Elmgrove Flower Farm is opening its famous daffodil fields to the public for one day only, Saturday, February 1st, to mark the annual feast day of Ireland’s patroness saint.

For just €5 per person, people can pick as many flowers as their hands can hold and capture the wonder of thousands of daffodils bursting into bloom. Elmgrove Irish Flower Farm grows millions of daffodils annually, including some of the earliest flowering varieties known. This ensures that they have daffodils available from January every year!
To add to the festivities, there will also be a fun and creative workshop led by Aga from Playful Tribe, suitable for ages 3 & up.
This FREE family-friendly event will run from 12 - 2pm. Older children & adults will be able to learn to weave their own traditional St. Brigid's Cross, using rushes or alternative materials, like paper and pipe cleaners, while younger participants can craft colourful cloak collages, inspired by St. Brigid's legendary cloak, using bright patterned paper and other enchanting materials.
All materials are provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult. And if that's not already enough, Elmgrove's resident Pizza Maestro Chef Csaba, will have a St. Brigid's Pizza included on the menu for the day.
His Pesto Kitchen Pizza has already garnered a dedicated following in the year it's been serving up what are regarded as the best pizza in the region!
His St. Brigid's special will have a nod to the origins of the festival, celebrating the arrival of Spring and the start of the lambing season, with the Sheep's Cheese, Rocket and Balsamic combo, sure to get your taste buds watering.
