Castle Tours
A tour of Slane Castle is a glimpse into the fascinating world of the Conyngham family history, packed with swashbucklers and soldiers, clergy and concerts. Meet the Marchioness whose fabled romance with King George IV brought royalty to Slane.
Discover the exciting history of the Castle buildings, the connection with the White House and link to iconic landscape designer Capability Browne.
Regular Castle tours will recommence on Easter Weekend (30th/31st March and 1st April) and then on the May Bank Holiday Weekend (4th–6th May). The Silver Fox Food Truck will be open for refreshments.  Tours can be booked online.
Mini tours are included in the Afternoon Tea and Tour experience on selected dates. Private guided tours are available all year round and need to be booked in advance. To enquire, contact the Castle directly on events@slanecastle.ie.
PRIVATE EVENTS
Slane Castle is available for private events including corporate and special occasions. It’s surprisingly flexible as a venue suiting everything from small intimate gatherings to large celebrations and events. Browne’s Bar, The Gandon Room Restaurant and the magnificent gothic revival Ballroom are just some of the options available. A range of live music and room decoration etc. can be organised through trusted suppliers. Please contact events@slanecastle.ie for further information.

NEW NOCHES ESPAñOLAS
A decidedly Spanish flavour descends upon the Castle for our new dining series - Noches Españolas presented by head chef Yasmina Bustillo Diez celebrating the flavours of her native Spain. It begins in Browne's Bar with a Spanish Cocktail and a selection of Tapas appetisers followed by delicious four-course set menu in The Gandon Room Restaurant.  The cost is €75 per person and booking is online. A selection of Spanish wines are available as perfect pairings for the menu. Dietary requirements must be flagged in advance. A limited number of overnight packages are available.

Afternoon Tea and mini tour
Our Afternoon Tea and Mini Tour experience takes place on selected dates (below) with a romantic Valentine flavour to the event on Sunday 18th February and a special welcome to Mums on Mother’s Day which falls on Sunday 10th March. Combining a short, guided tour with the grand tradition of afternoon tea, this is a delightful way to experience the Castle in a very personal fashion. It begins in the impressive main hallway with fine Doric columns, impressive plasterwork and the Conyngham family coat of arms. Enjoy a glass of Prosecco as you take your seat in the remarkable circular King George IV Ballroom. Afternoon tea is presented on elegant, tiered cake stands and is a perfect balance of savoury and sweet treats. Afterwards our personable tour guide will give an enthralling insight into Slane Castle and its fascinating history intertwined with that of the Conyngham family who have lived here since 1703. The Castle is equally famous for 40 years of star-studded rock concerts.
