Samhain Festival of Food & Culture 2023

This year Samhain Festival takes place from Thursday 2nd November until Sunday 5th November in and around Kells, County Meath.
We have over 30 events to choose from with something for everyone and you can view the full programme & book tickets here.

New for this year's festival we have our Samhain Hub where you will find our Box Office, Information Point, Antonia's Festival Bookstore, Food Trucks and various display stands.

We will also have various workshops & events taking place in our Hub throughout the weekend so keep an eye out on our blackboard in the Hub for updates.

The Courtyard
We will be joined by Silly Sids, Killua Castle and Nags with Notions Food Trucks on Saturday and Sunday so make sure you pop into the Hub to try some of their delicious food. 
We will also have a traditional community smoker so if you have any produce that you would like to smoke please bring it along!

This year we have no single use plastic at Samhain Festival and we are operating a Cups2Go Scheme.

Car Parking at Samhain Festival of Food & Culture

There is complimentary Festival car parking on Saturday and Sunday in 2 car parks in Kells kindly supported by Meath County Council.

Boyne Valley Bites

Try a taste of the Boyne Valley this festival season. Running over 2 weekends, eateries in Athboy, Trim, Drogheda and Kells will offer a ‘Boyne Valley Bite’ – a dish created using the amazing Boyne Valley produce, some paired with one of the many local craft beverages. See below for a list of participating establishments. We will be adding more delicious eateries and dishes throughout the month, so don’t forget to check back in a little closer to the time!
