BOYNE VALLEY FOOD SAFARI

Join us on our inaugural Boyne Valley Food Safari, where we will visit 3 Boyne Valley producers and see where the magic happens!
We will meet at the Samhain Hub in the centre of Kells where will be board our bus for a delicious adventure in the Boyne Valley!
We will visit cheesemaker Michael Finnegan, cider maker Mark Jenkinson and miller James Tallon. We will depart from The Red Chapel at 10.30am and make our way to the Rathkenny Hills to Michael Finnegan, where we will meet his herd of goats and learn all about how he makes his multi award winning cheese, as well as tasting the delicious cheese.
Then we will head down the road to visit Mark Jenkinson in The Cider Mill and see how Mark creates his famous Cockagee cider and learn all about the traditional cider making process and of course we will enjoy some tastings!
We will finish with a visit to the historic Martry Mill and learn all about milling from the miller himself before we arrive back in Kells around 1.30pm.
