We are thrilled to announce that this past weekend at the Blas nahÉireann awards in Dingle County Kerry, Boyne Valley Flavour’s producers won an incredible amount of awards for their artisan products- 20 altogether which is an outstanding achievement.
The Blas na hÉireann awards are very competitive and are the biggest blind tasting of produce in the country so we are thrilled so many of our producers were so successful this year.
Boyne Valley Flavour’s producers that won awards for their products this year include- A Bit on the Side, Killua Castle, High Maguire the Smokin’ Butcher, Hogan’s Farms, Finnegans Farms, Newgrange Gold, Sheridans Cheesemongers, Merci Beaucoup Cake Creations, Dan Kelly’s Cider, Coole Swan, Whats for Pudding, McEntee’s Fine Irish Tea and Dunany Flour.
On top of all the product categories at the awards there are also some extra categories and Hilary McGrath of A Bit on the Side was the winner of the Best Start Up category- a fantastic achievement. (Results listed below)
Our Brand Ambassadors the Gastro Gays- Patrick and Russell were also taking part as judges at the awards and had this to say-

Hilary McEntee- McEntee’s Fine Teas
" Everyone at McEntee's Tea are delighted with our three Awards from Blas National Food Awards in Dingle. We received a Gold for our Irish Mint and Nettle Infusion, Silver for the Gold Blend and Bronze for the Irish Breakfast Blend. McEntee's Tea, having only recently launched our range of quality loose teas in 2018, managed to dominate the Tea category in our first year participating in the event. We feel it gives our range of loose teas, including our Afternoon Blend and Organic Sencha Green Tea, the national recognition that you can only get from Blas.”
